Saudi International Petrochemical Co (Sipchem)'s methanol affiliate will start receiving supplies of carbon dioxide feedstock from Saudi Aramco Shell Refinery (SASREF) in Q1-2019, as per Reuters. This long-term agreement is designed to improve efficiency at its plant in Jubail.
The IMC is 65% owned by Sipchem, while a group of Japanese companiesholds the balance 35%. IMC has an annual production capacity of 967,000 tons of methanol.
