Fluor Corp. has been awarded a contract by The Dow Chemical Company to provide basic engineering and design services on its propane dehydrogenation (PDH) expansion project in Freeport, Texas. The undisclosed contract value will be booked in Q2-2011.
"We are pleased to have been selected by Dow as their partner for this important expansion project," said Peter Oosterveer, president of Fluor's Energy & Chemicals Group. "We are also encouraged to see a renewed focus on growth and expansion in the chemical industry in the United States." The basic engineering will be executed in Fluor's Houston, Texas office with support from its office in Manila, Philippines.
