IPI Ahmedabad Chapter in particular and IPI are associated with the Opening of Students Chapter at LD Engineering College – Plastic Division for the very first time in India. Totally 51 students enrolled for this Student Chapter, of which 40+ students attended the inauguration. Prof. (Dr.) M. N. Patel, Principal, L. D. Engineering College has also shown very keen interest in such constructive students activities, and also spoke very high about IPI activities. -12- Faculty Members from L D Engineering College. Some more from Nirma University and Govt. Polytechnic also attended; they also have shown keen interest in having such Students Chapter at their College too.
Mr. Francis Pinto was the Chief Guest; Dr. Patel, Principal was Guest of Honour. Many of the well wishers from Industry were also present; Mr. S. P. Singh Regional Manager Reliance Ind. Ltd. attended the launch. Dr. P. D. Trivedi, Vice Chairman & Chairman of Education Committee also addressed the gathering.
To boost this activity further a Committee was formed Mr. Tushar Parikh from IPI, Prof. Desai from LD and Mr. Mandip Bharua– Student Representative would be chalking out further plans.
