ABS and Polystyrene facility in Iran hit

Tabriz Petrochemical Company/Complex (TPC), Iran, a major manufacturer of petrochemical products like ABS, HIPS, and polystyrene resins was hit in an airstrike on the morning of 30th March, 2026. Safety and firefighting teams responded immediately. The resulting fire has been fully contained, and the situation is reported to be under control. Authorities stated that no hazardous or toxic materials were released following the strike. There are currently no official reports of specific casualty numbers at the plant, though search and rescue operations are ongoing.  Engineers are currently evaluating the technical impact and the extent of the damage to determine if production will be halted.
