Japan's naphtha imports for the petrochemical sector rose 4% in January 2011 vs January 2011 as per Reuters. Imports of naphtha for ethylene production amounted to 2,209,789 kilolitres (1,533,498 tons) last month, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry said. This compared with 2,126,318 kl (1,463,834 tons) in January 2010 and 2,238,035 kl (1,549,841 tons) in December 2010.
