A major Taiwanese producer, offering early March shipment LLDPE c4 and HDPE film offers at the same levels as the holiday at US$1500/ton and US$1430/ton, respectively on CFR China main port, subject to 6.5% customs duty, cash basis, reported to have concluded deals at lower prices, as per Chemorbis. The producer is faced with difficulties when concluding deals and seems willing to offer small discounts in return of firm bids in order to stimulate some buying interest. As of today, the producer reported concluding a deal for LLDPE c4 film at US$1430/ton and for HDPE film at US$1360/ton with the same terms. These deal levels indicate a large drop of US$70/ton compared to their previous offers. The producer feels pleased about current LLDPE film demand although they are not as satisfied with HDPE demand. Feeling free from stock pressure, they stopped offering LLDPE for the time being while they offer HDPE film at US$1390/ton with the same terms, up by US$30/ton compared to their most recent done deal level but US$40/ton lower than their initial price.
