In response to a growing demand for plastics in East Europe, Japan's Mitsubishi Plastics will roll out an injecting plant in Nitra, Slovakia with an outlay US$27 mln. This is Mitsubishi Plastics' ninth plant outside Japan and is expected to start operations from September 2009. A major portion of the new facility's output will be supplied to Sony Slovakia Spol, which is augmenting its 'Bravia' LCD TV screens production at Nitra-based factory. Further, the Japanese molder is also considering opportunities to supply to the rising market for automotive components from vehicle manufacturers expanding output in Eastern Europe.
