UK's Innovia Films, a maker of specialty materials for packaging and labels, has launched PropaFresh P2G and P2GAF, a new range of breathable, biaxially-oriented polypropylene (BOPP) films. This permeable and non-perforated film range is an outcome of the firm's own R&D facility. As a result of oxygen permeability of 3000 cu.cm/sq.m for 24 hrs and carbon dioxide permeability of 12000 cu.cm/sq.m for 24 hrs, PropaFresh P2G makes it perfectly suited for prolonging the shelf life of prepared fresh food produce. This ratio is maintained by increasing the volume gas exchange. The products keep their freshness and shelf appeal maintaining the organoleptic properties. In addition, PropaFresh P2GAF provides anti-mist properties.
The customer benefits from PropaFresh P2G & P2GAF are heat sealability on sides, printability, seal integrity; food contact approved and peelable seals to make the pack easy to open.
