Nigeria's KRPC may resume production by February 2008, after a year long shutdown

05-Oct-07
Nigeria's Kaduna Refinery and Petrochemical Company (KRPC), may resume production by February 2009, after being shut down since last year. The Energy Ministry has already negotiated a three-month Turn Around Maintenance (TAM) period, which is awaiting final approval of the Federal Executive Council. The approval is not expected to meet any hurdles. He About 90% of total materials required for the job are ready with the state, while arrangements are being made for personnel needed for the job. The maintenance of the refineries would be done simultaneously with replacement of vandalised pipelines, to enable prompt supply of crude to the refineries, so that production would resume immediately on completion of repairs.
