Nippon Oil & Energy Corp plans to restart the 150,000 bpd No.4 crude distillation unit at its Negishi refinery. As per Reuters, the unit has been shut for planned maintenance from Sept. 19, with restart planned for Oct. 15.
The oil major shut its 64,000 bpd No.2 naphtha hydro desulfurisation unit at its Muroran refinery due to an unexpected leak of liquefied petroleum gas. A 36,000 bpd reformer was also shut to ensure safety.
