Royal Dutch Shell's new 800,000 tpa ethylene cracker resumed operations after a brief disruption caused by a compressor trip.Production was disrupted at Shell’s process unit at Singapore. As a result, the flare system at Shell’s Pulau Bukom manufacturing site was activated in the afternoon of Aug. 3. Other operations were not affected. Shell carried out an unplanned shutdown at its Pulau Bukom cracker as per ICIS. The cracker has the capacity to produce 800,000 tpa ethylene, 450,000 tpa propylene and 230,000 tpa benzene.
