Anti dumping in China and India interrupts trade flows in the Gulf

The newly adopted petrochemical anti dumping duties in by India and China has interrupted trade flows in the Gulf region, as per chief executive of SABIC. These anti-dumping measures have been taken as a form of protectionism which is affecting trade flows, and could press for action to be taken as an immediate measure. By 2015, the total quantity of petrochemical products in the Gulf will reach 115 mln tons. Almost 10 mln ton increase in production is expected from plants in Saudi Arabia and Abu Dhabi by end of 2010.
