Anti-tarnish protective packaging for non-ferrous metals, electronic components

06-Dec-08
Northern Technologies International Corporation (NTIC), an American developer and marketer of proprietary environment-friendly material science-based solutions, has unveiled a new generation of Zerust Anti-Tarnish protective packaging. The transparent plastic material is impregnated with patented chemical formulations which absorb corrosive gases in the surrounding atmosphere and thereby protects silver, copper and electronic components from damage caused by oxidation, tarnish and corrosion. Target applications for the Zerust Anti-Tarnish products include the protection of the non-ferrous metals in silver jewelry, silverware, copper, musical instrument strings and electronic components, circuit boards and circuit board assemblies. As per the company, Zerust Anti-Tarnish products have a 5-year protection life, while being fully compatible with automated packaging systems. Zerust Anti-Tarnish products are fully recyclable and do not contain any acids or other harmful materials.
