The Arvand Petrochemical Complex has been inaugurated in the Persian Gulf port city of Mahshar, as per the Islamic Republic News Agency. Arvand is one of the world's biggest polyvinyl chloride (PVC) producers, with the capacity to manufacture over 2.8 mln tons of petrochemicals annually, buikt at an outlay of US$1.6 bln. The complex with annual PVC production capacity worth 240,000 tons would claim 25 to 30% of the world market for Iran.
