Axiall & Lotte Chemical defer final investment decision on ethane cracker at Westlake

Amid market volatility, Axiall has decided to delay its decision to build a plant in Westlake, Louisiana, as per The American Press. Axiall, along with its joint venture partner, Lotte Chemical of South Korea, agreed to postpone a final investment decision to build an ethane cracker at Axiall's Westlake plant. Axiall's announcement comes less than a month after Sasol executives chose to delay their US$14 bln gas-to-liquids project in Westlake.
