Spanish-Argentine oil and gas company Repsol-YPF has completed sale of a 50% stake in Argentine chemical producer Petroken to Dutch company Basell. The US$58 mln deal between Repsol-YPF and Basell Iberica Poliolefinas Holdings SL had gone through in March, but was awaiting approval from Argentine antitrust authorities.
Petroken or Petroquimica Ensenada is Argentina's largest manufacturer of polypropylene. Basell is the world's largest producer of polypropylene and polyolefins.
