Bayer MaterialScience has been gradually extending its network, primarily through acquisitions and joint ventures such as Bufa PUR in Germany and BayOne Urethane Systems in North America. Bayer MaterialScience polyurethane system has shortlisted India as its latest destination. A production facility has been planned in North India, near New Delhi, scheduled to start up next year. The plant is estimated to serve the booming Indian markets, growing at more than 10% pa.
