Ciba recently announced that it will shortly begin producing its phenolic antioxidants for lubricants & fuels in its newly commissioned Singapore facility. This investment, which will enable a faster response to Asian customer needs, is part of the company's strategic plan to support and grow its products for the lubricants and fuels markets in Asia. The company sells antioxidants for lubricants and fuels under the trade names of IRGANOX®, IRGAFOS® and IRGASTAB® BD.
"Production of Ciba® IRGANOX® L135 will begin in early 2009 followed by a strategic review of other products that could be manufactured in Singapore," said Douglas Brown, Head of Ciba's Process and Lubricant Additives Business Line. "This critical investment reinforces our commitment to maintain Ciba's global antioxidant leadership position to service the growing requirements of the Asian market."
