China Petroleum & Chemical Corp (Sinopec) and Kuwait Petroleum Corp have embarked upon construction of their 59 billion yuan (US$9.3 bln) joint refining and petrochemical complex in the southern Chinese province of Guangdong, as per Reuters. The project includes a 300,000 bpd refinery and a 1 mln tpa ethylene cracker, expected to come on line in 2015.
