The Materials Handling Competence Center of Coperion GmbH, formerly Coperion Waeschle, has signed a mutually exclusive cooperation agreement with a Germany-based software company inconso AG. The cooperation will enable Coperion to offer its customers solutions from one single source, covering all process stages along the process chain from the reactor through to shipping logistics, including the logistics management system. Coperion has therefore now extended its comprehensive range of services for the plastics manufacturing, plastics compounding and plastics processing industries by logistics management systems for further distribution of the goods.
The "warehouse-management" systems from inconso AG permit reliable identification of all product flows and consignments from production through to shipping, including all relevant data for production and quality, management and warehouse optimisation through to order picking and shipping of individual customer orders. Due to a standardised and certified SAP interface it is possible to integrate direct communication with a higher-level ERP system if necessary. Plant operators therefore have online access to all current inventory data for production and sales purposes.
