PTT Chemical PCL has delayed by two months, plans to shut for maintenance, its 461,000 tpa ethane cracker to February. Currently, the company is focused on trial runs at its new 1 mln tpa cracker scheduled to start up in early 2010. PTT will start reducing production capacity of the 461,000 tpa ethane cracker to bring its gas feedstock to use with this new cracker. As a result, the 45-day maintenance shutdown at Olefins I-1 will be postponed from late this year to February of 2010.
