Brent crude has spiked by over 4 dollars to US$47.5, recording a 10.2% gain. This is the largest single day gain since December 2008. WTI also jumped by 10.3% to US$42.5, the largest daily increase since March 2009. The markets were helped by a rally in stocks in China and USA, and better-than-expected economic data from USA.
