Demand for PVC window and door profiles has been growing in Eastern Europe in the past few years. Growth potential still exists in eastern Europe and Russia and is substantial to drives investments to the tune of E1.2million.
This growth has been experienced by Wymar International. It had established distribution branches in Poland and Hungary 5 years ago, and last year built up new distribution channels in Romania, Ukraine and Russia. These branches have contributed considerably to the growth of the company in the last two years. Current machine capacity at Wymar International is being fully utilised. Wymar International is investing E1.2m in 3 new extrusion lines at its plant in Oeselgem, Belgium to make PVC profiles for windows and doors. The investment in new extrusion lines is necessary in order to keep up with the further growth anticipated in 2005.
