Dow Chemical Company has commenced production at a glycol ethers plant in Zhangjiagang, East China. With 120,000 tpa capacity of propylene glycol, the plant houses the world's largest production facility of propylene glycol. Besides the new plant, Dow has set up three world-scale facilities to produce converted epoxy resin, styrene butadiene latex and polystyrene resin. Investment outlay in project has totaled to US$350. Zhangjiagang is the largest production base of Dow in East China. It is slated to become the production and supply center for Dow's main markets such as Japan, South Korea and China.
