Enterprise Products to build 1230 mile line to ship ethane to petrochemical plants in US Gulf Coast

Enterprise Products Partners LP is to build the ATEX Express a 1,230 mile pipeline to ship ethane from Pennsylvania to US Gulf Coast petrochemical plants, as per Bloomberg. Enterprise Products is the largest US pipeline partnership by market value. The ATEX Express pipeline, to connect to the Marcellus and Utica shale formations in Pennsylvania and Ohio, will have the capacity to transport 190,000 bpd. Enterprise has commitments from shippers to pay 14.5 to 15.5 cents per gallon. Gulf Coast petrochemical demand for ethane is estimated at about 955,000 bpd. The ATEX line will connect to the Marcellus and Utica shale formations in Pennsylvania and Ohio.
