ExxonMobil has restarted its Beaumont, Texas, ethylene plant after completing an unexpected outage in the early part of last week, as per sources in Platts. ExxonMobil shut process compressors on November 10 after a power outage, a company filing with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality showed.
"We have resumed normal operations following last week's reported event," a company source with knowledge of operations said.
The Beaumont complex comprises two equal-sized steam cracking units with total ethylene capacity of 820,000 m tpa. Both plants went down for planned maintenance between April and mid-June.
