Flaring at DuPont's Orange, Texas steam cracker, as start up begins

DuPont will be flaring as it begins startup activities at its 680,000 mt/year steam cracker in Orange, Texas, according to a filing by the company on a community hotline, as reported by Platts. "This activity is expected to occur for the next several days," DuPont posted on the Southeast Texas Alerting Network.

Planned maintenance activities at the cracker began on April 20 and were expected to last 15-25 days.
