GS E&C awarded HMC Polypropylene (PP) 4 project by Thailand's HMC Polymers

GS E&C hass been awarded a USUS$230 mln order for HMC Polypropylene (PP) 4” project from HMC Polymers. HMC Polymers is 41% owned by PTTGC, 29% by Lyondell Basell and 30% by others. Location of the PP4 plant will be next to the HMC PP3 plant. Construction will likely begin around the end of October.

The PP plant is to lag behind schedule with operations likely to begin in the latter part of 2022 rather than the first half. HMC's plans to start production in H1-2022 may be ambitious.
