Hanwha mulls acquisition of Dow Chemical's chloro-alkali business

South Korea's Hanwha is mulling acquisition of Dow Chemical's chloro-alkali business. Though its interest is still in the early stages, Hanwha has picked Credit Suisse to advise on possible purchase, as per Reuters. In early December, Dow evinced interest in hiving off bulk of its chlorine operations as part of its plan to sell or spin off commodity chemicals assets worth up to US$4 bln.
