Hexion Specialty Chemicals, a leader in thermoset resins, announced that it will increase prices for its unsaturated polyester and vinyl ester resin systems in North America by five cents per pound effective July 6, 2009. The price hike is a result of significant price increases for raw materials led by rise in energy, intermediates and transportation costs, the company said.
