South Korea's Honam Petrochemical Corp. has restarted its naphtha cracker at the Daesan complex after a shutdown due to technical difficulties, as per foxbusiness.com. The 1 mln tpa cracker was shut in early May. The 1 mln tpa Yeosu unit was shut from March 1 to April 10 for maintenance and expansion work.
With the resumption of production at both these crackers, the company will seek naphtha from the market for feedstock, which will support naphtha premiums.
