Huntsman's Jeffsol® propylene carbonate, Ultrapure® propylene carbonate given VOC exempt status

Huntsman's Performance Products division have announced granting of official VOC exempt status by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for its JEFFSOL® propylene carbonate and ULTRAPURE® propylene carbonate. JEFFSOL® propylene carbonate is a high grade, high purity product with flexibility in function and application to allow broad growth across many areas. ULTRAPURE® propylene carbonate is extremely high purity propylene carbonate for solvent solutions requiring very low levels of water and glycol. Growing applications include lithium batteries, condensers, photo chromic solutions, polymer removal for microelectronics, and other related electrochemical applications. The company has a solid presence among coating and ink formulators looking for an environmentally-friendly alternative to commonly-used carrier solvents, tail solvents, coalescing agents, plasticizers and cleaners/strippers.
