Japanese petrochemical major- Idemitsu Kosan, plans to restart its 374,000 tpa naphtha cracker at Chiba that has been shut since last week of March. The company plans to increase run rates at the plant to about 85% on improved demand primarily due to a recovery in the country’s automotive industry. Before it was shut for maintenance as well as repairs, the plant was being operated at 75% runs.
