Ineos declares force majeure on output from Cologne cracker

05-Jul-07
Technical problems at the plant have caused Ineos Olefins to declare force majeure on ethylene and propylene from its no. 5 cracker at Cologne, Germany. The cracker went down unexpectedly on 17 June during the re-start of one of the facility's raw gas compressors. The cracker will operate at reduced capacity for the next three weeks as repairs to the compressor are expected to take about three weeks.
