Ineos Phenol could plan end of month lifting of force majeure at Antwerp unit

Ineos Phenol could be planning to lift force majeure by the end of the month, at its Antwerp plant with a capacity to produce 680,000 tpa of phenol unit. The second line, with an expanded capacity of 450,000 tpa is in the final stages of restarting. The unit has been shut since September 2007, in enable work for capacity expansion. Capacity before debottlenecking stood at 500,000 tpa. Delays in the work have led the company to declare force majeure in October. The first line, with production capacity of 230,000 tpa is already running.
