Iran's first petrochemical center will be launched in East Europe. Iran will create new capacities in this part to store and distribute petrochemical products, as per Mehr News Agency. Currently, feasibility studies are being conducted in three locations in eastern Europe to aid plans of distributing 200,000-300,000 tpa of petrochemical products in the initial stage.
With the establishment of the proposed center, Iran will be able to increase exports of petrochemicals and polymer products to European markets. The measure will help the country to have a direct presence in target markets for petrochemical products.
