Japanese ethylene production in April fell 7.6% from the same month a year earlier to 503,400 tons, data from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry showed, as per Reuters. Output was at 511,000 tons for March 2014. There were a total of 3 plant shutdowns in the month.
