Ethylene output in Japan for July totalled 554,100 ton as compared with 598,300 tons a year ago, as per the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. Ethylene production for the month of July in Japan fell 7.4% as compared with the output for last July. This dip was a result of maintenance shutdowns at an increased number of naphtha crackers- a total of 4 shutdowns as compared to last years’ three. July output was also at a reduced level of 555,500 tons seen in June.
