Leading North American film extrusion group Sigma Plastics Group has recently acquired majority stake in FlexSol Packaging Corp. FlexSol Packaging Corp, is headquartered in Pompano Beach, FL. It manufactures over 200 mln pounds of high quality single and multi-layered films and bags out of four manufacturing facilities. This strategic partnership brings together two well known industry leading film-producing companies.
FlexSol Packaging has about 600 employees and it services a variety of key markets including food and beverage, medical/pharmaceutical, printer/laminators, Janitorial/Sanitation and industrial packaging. Sigma founder Alfred Teo will serve as CEO of combined film-manufacturing companies. Sigma Plastics Group is the largest, privately owned film extrusion group in the United States, Canada, Central, and South America. Based in Lyndhurst, New Jersey, the company has 36 manufacturing facilities, producing annual through put of 1.6 billion pounds of resin and employs over 5,000.
