Work is likely to resume at the Assam Gas Cracker Project. Resumption has been delayed by a day due to a 12-hour Dibrugarh district bandh called tomorrow by All Assam Tea Tribes Students’ Association. On Friday, one worker died after personnel of the CISF opened fire to subdue a stone pelting crowd of project labourers, while four others were seriously injured. A magisterial inquiry has been ordered into the firing incident.
