Map Ta Phut Olefins Co., a joint venture between Siam Cement Pcl (SCC) and Dow Chemical Co., plans to shut a naphtha cracker from the middle of November for planned maintenance. Production at the 800,000 tpa ethylene plant will be halted for about 40 days, as per confidential information.
