Mold-Masters® announced today that it has opened a state-of-the-art production facility in Coimbatore, India to complement the Global Design Centre opened in December 2006. This new facility, now commencing operations, symbolizes a significant step in Mold-Masters’ investment and capabilities in the growing Indian market.
Mold-Masters is not new to the Indian plastics market. In 1994, the company began selling and servicing their products in India. In 2006, Mold-Masters opened a Global Design Centre to better serve local customers. Since opening the Centre, Mold-Masters has experienced a large escalation in business. This new production facility will allow Mold-Masters to continue to grow its business, as well as enhance value, local support and speed to the rapidly growing market.
“It has always been a question of when, not if, we would make a major expansion in India,” says Mold-Masters President and CEO, Jonathon Fischer. “As the world leader in hot runner technology, we strive to provide the best support for our global customers. With the rapid growth of tooling production in India, the timing was perfect to boost our regional presence and support for the local market. We are pleased to announce that Mold-Masters India’s manufacturing doors are open for business”.
Mold-Masters is the most vertically integrated hot runner manufacturer in the world. The objective of this expansion is to provide exceptional regional support, with enhanced local assistance for technical service, and application engineering and rapid spare parts deployment.
“The project team has successfully brought on-line this state-of-the-art facility which is designed to manufacture local hot runner systems, hot halves, and temperature controllers,” says Kannan Venkatraman, Regional Manager of South- East Asia. “We feel our customers will be very pleased with our ability to enhance even further our support to them”.
