Naphtha prices and cracks in Europe have been limited for weeks due to unviable arbitrage to Asia and a problem that is likely to keep Shell's Moerdijk petrochemicals complex shut until end of year. This problem, according to traders, puts at least 200,000 tons of naphtha into the market, which improved blending economics with gasoline but weighed on outright prices.
