Could the Indian Oil refineryand a petroleum product factory of Reliance located near Haldia Petrochemicals find themselves in a risky position due leakage at Haldia?
Naphtha, an inflammable product, has been leaking from a storage tank of the Haldia Petrochemicals in West Bengal since June and has spread inside the factory. The leak has occurred in the tank from which naphtha flows to the cracker unit and is alleged to have been caused by the malfunctioning in the flow system.
