New high speed TM Xpress series with an IML application

Wittmann Battenfeld will unveil its new, innovative and high speed TM Xpress series in combination with an Inmold Labeling System at Equiplast which is to be held from Oct 20 - 24 in Barcelona, Spain. The company will display the production of a PP butter tub on a TM Xpress 160/1350 with 160 ton clamping force. The IML application will take care of inserting butterfly labels as well as removal and stacking of the finished parts. Wittmann's French subsidiary, which specializes in IML process, will supply the molds. Wittmann Battenfeld is the first European machine manufacturer to supply the machine, the mold and the automation system for IML applications all from a single source. From now on, the new TM Xpress series will be available with clamping forces ranging from 160 to 450 ton. Besides, the company will also present its extremely compact hydraulic HM series will be presented. The hydraulic HM series stands for ultimate precision, extremely easy access to all parts and an extra-short footprint. It also offers an enormous mold space and the benefit of the highest diagonal distance between tie bars in its clamping force class. The production of a PA car door handle with Airmould gas injection technology will be presented on an HM 400/3400 with 400 ton clamping force. Riku (Germany) will provide the mold while Wittmann W833 robot will handle parts removal and stacking. All exhibits come with the Unilog B6 machine control system, which is setting benchmarks in speed, precision and user-friendliness. With Windows XPTM as operating system, everything is laid for easy networking with the IT world. The system is available in the two variants B6E and B6S.
