Offers for Chinese PP raffia resurface in Vietnam

Several distributors in Vietnam report that offers for Chinese PP raffia have reappeared in the market recently, with some sources speculating that this could be a sign of deficient sales in China by domestic producers, as per Chemorbis. Offers for Chinese raffia were reported in a wide range of US$1280-1350/ton CIF Vietnam, cash, at the lower end of the overall import offer range of US$1280-1430/ton CIF SEA, cash reported this week. Vietnamese distributors have not expressed an interest in making purchases from the import market at the present, due to the increased level of prevailing import offers relative to the prevailing offer levels in the distribution market. Also they have comfortable levels of inventory for the time being.
