Persistent supply crunch enables Indian major to sell naphtha at steep premiums

A persistent supply crunch in Asia has bolstered premiums for sellers. India's Bharat Petroleum Corp Ltd (BPCL) has sold 54,000 tons of high aromatic naphtha to Itochu at steep premiums. 2 cargoes of 27,000 tons each for October and December lifting from Mumbai were sold at premiums of US$44-48/ton to Middle East quotes on a free-on-board (FOB) basis. Earlier shipments by BPCL were sold for June-July, and September and March lifting from Mumbai at a premium of US$42/ton.
