Petrofac Consortium appointed for petrochemical project in Kazakhstan

Petrofac Ltd has won a deal to provide KPLE LLP with services for its petrochemicals complex and infrastructure project in Kazakhstan as part of a consortium with Germany's Linde AG and GS Engineering and Construction Corp of South Korea, as per Alliance News. The first phase of the contract involves the consortium undertaking engineering work for approximately US$77 million. Petrofac's share is about US$21 million. The second phase will involve the production of a polyethylene plant for an excess of US$3.5 billion.
