Petronas Chemicals Group Bhd has awarded a US$482 mln (RM2.05 bln) construction contract to a consortium comprising Italy's Tecnimont SpA and China's Huanqiu Contracting & Engineering Corp. In a filing with the stock exchange, the company said the engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning contract is for a 90,000 tpa polypropylene plant located in the Refinery and Petrochemical Integrated Development (Rapid) petrochemical project in Pengerang, Johor.
