Preliminary work on Maaden-Daelim petrochemical project in Jubail to cost US$41 mln

The preliminary work on a petrochemical project in Jubail with Saudi Arabian Mining Co (Maaden) and South Korea's Daelim Industrial Co will cost about US$41 mln. Both the partners have inked a deal to launch the Jubail project, a petrochemical joint venture with Sahara Petrochemicals Co. The joint venture is expected to have a capacity of 250,000 tpa caustic soda and 300,000 tpa ethylene dichloride and is scheduled for completion in Q3-2012.
